MPC Softball players accept offers from universities
A shortened season was not enough to stop six Monterey Peninsula College softball players from making it to the next level. The Lobos were 16-1 when the season was cut short, but now, six of their players have earned spots on teams at four-year universities. Check out the KSBW story here!

Maurine Church Coburn School of Nursing Receives Positive Reviews from Accreditation Site Visit
On September 27, 2019, The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) completed its comprehensive review of MPC's nursing program. The site visitors found the Maurine Coburn School of Nursing to be in compliance with several recommendations noted for strong partnerships.

David Martin Named Interim Superintendent/President of Monterey Peninsula Community College District

English and Math Placement is Changing for Fall 2019!!
In response to AB-705, MPC will no longer use an assessment test for English and math course placement. Instead, students will receive an email informing them of suggested placement into transfer-level English and math based on high school records and/or self-guided placement results.

Generous Bequest From Alumna Helps Science Majors at MPC
The Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) Foundation has received a $1 million bequest from an alumna to provide scholarships to science majors at MPC. The bequest was made by Alexandra Page Clark, who passed away on August 22, 2017 at the age of 55 after battling glioblastoma brain cancer.
