Mission Statement
Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) Veterans Resource Center (VRC) provides a supportive and safe environment that fosters learning of higher education to support the goals of veterans, active service members, and military family members pursuing an associate degree, career and technical training to be competitive in today’s workforce.
Welcome and thank you for your service!
The Monterey Peninsula College Veterans Help Desk function is to provide a one stop shop for veteran students and dependents of a veteran. It is a place where Veterans can seek assistance relating to their education. Our staff and Veteran Work Study students have the ability to assist them navigate the educational system and answer questions pertaining to their specific needs.
Our goal is to serve as the primary point of contact to assist with:
- Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits,
- VA certification for VA payments
- Academic counseling services
- Campus/community service referrals
- Disability accommodations services through Access Resource Center
- Peer to peer mentoring/tutoring
- Technology: Chromebook, scientific calculator, smart pen
The Veterans Affairs Education benefits are designed to provide eligible persons with an opportunity for educational and career growth. Monterey Peninsula College welcomes you and hope you will significantly benefit through your education.
