Monterey Peninsula College is excited to welcome students and the public back to campus for in-person classes and services. To provide accurate and up-to-date information we have created this webpage to serve as an On-Campus Resource Guide. It has been designed to assist employees, students, and the public as we make this transition back to in-person instruction and student services.

  • COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Monterey Peninsula College has been suspended.
  • COVID-19 FAQs (Student Guidance)
  • Faculty & Staff COVID-19 Intranet Site (log-in required)
  • Face Coverings are no longer required on campus although they are still recommended in indoor spaces for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Physical Distancing, Room Capacity reductions, as well as Partitions and Barriers are no longer required. Class sizes may return to full capacity.
  • FREE COVID-19 Antigen tests are available for MPC students and employees until supplies run out. Students should contact Student Health Services to obtain an antigen test, employees should contact Human Resources.
  • For PCR testing locations, please visit: https://www.montereycountyvaccines.com/testing-sites, this site is updated monthly and provides testing locations throughout Monterey County.
  • Student Health Services can help individuals sign up for the COVID-19 Vaccine.
  • For COVID like symptoms or possible exposure, please contact your health care provider or Student Health Services (studenthealthservices@mpc.edu) for guidance.

If you test positive for COVID and have been on campus:

  • Contact Human Resources if you are an employee
  • Contact Student Health Services if you are a student

  • Transportation: The Monterey-Salinas Transit continues to operate the Free Fare program at MPC. Students with a current Student Identification Card can ride the MST for free anytime and anywhere the bus travels.
  • Parking: Parking will be enforced beginning on September 6, 2022. Students can purchase permits through WebReg or purchase daily passes at permit dispensers located in most student/public parking lots. More information on permits can be found on our parking/permit webpage.
  • Health Screening: We encourage all students to conduct COVID-19 self-screening protocols and remind everyone that if you are sick, do not come to campus. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, or other symptoms as referenced on the following link (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html). Follow care instructions from your health care provider and local health department.

MPC students can access a variety of academic support and other helpful services at no cost. Below is a list of the key resources we offer to help you succeed!

  • MPC Library - Provides students with online library reference, research skills, and citation support, as well as loans of Chromebooks, wifi hot spots, calculators, and textbooks.
  • Reading & Writing Center - Provides students with online tutorial support for writing, reading, critical thinking, and research skills.
  • STEM CEL Center - Provides students with online tutorial support for the majority of MPC STEM disciplines.
  • Tutoring and Academic Success Center (TASC) - Provides students with free online peer tutoring in many subjects not covered by other tutoring centers. Subjects currently supported include: accounting/business, anatomy, computer science, economics, ethnic studies, French, history, medical assisting, psychology, and Spanish.
