The Monterey Peninsula College Job Center is a full-service employment office providing MPC students opportunities for work experience both on campus and in the community. The Job Center’s goal is to bring education and employment together so students can develop their educational skills and abilities while gaining valuable experience in the world of work.

MPC On-Campus Jobs 

MPC offers many on-campus job opportunities for currently enrolled students in various departments across campus. Students who are interested in learning more about these positions should:

  1. Complete the 2024/2025 FAFSA then fill out the Federal Work Study Request Form
  2. Meet with the MPC Job Center: Call (831) 646-4195, email (jobcenter@mpc.edu) or visit our Job Center (located in General Classroom GC 103) to learn about current employment opportunities on campus.
  3. After you are offered an on-campus job following your interview you will fill out the on-campus application packet.

Most student worker positions are supported through Federal Work Study (FWS).  Don't forget to request FWS each semester!

Work Experience Education 

Earn college credits with a job, internship, or volunteer experience.

Enroll in a Work Experience course to earn college units for your job, internship, or volunteer experience. All Work Experience courses are offered every semester. You will not find them listed in the semester class schedules. Your course will be designed specifically for your needs regarding dates and credit hours.
