Please review the VA Education Benefit that applies to you:
(If chapters 30, 1606, or 1607 apply to you, please read about Mandatory Monthly Verification of Attendance.)
All Continuing Students* at MPC who wish to use their VA education benefits must submit the following documents to the Veterans Resource Center:
1. A comprehensive education plan must be on file in the VRC. Students must meet with an academic counselor before their second semester to develop a comprehensive education plan. All official transcripts (including military transcripts) must be sent to MPC's Admission and Records office before a comprehensive education plan can be created. Appointments to meet with a counselor can be made by calling the VRC at 831-646-4025 or General Counseling at 831-646-4020.
2. Re-certification form (see below)
3. Deferment contract (see below)
4. Schedule of classes (*Note: VA will not pay tuition and fees for a class if it is not on a student's education plan)
*For VA purposes, a continuing student at MPC is considered a student that is requesting to use his or her education benefits for a second, third, fourth, etc. semester at MPC. If you have used VA benefits at another school, but not at MPC, OR if you have been enrolled at MPC for more than one semester, but this is your first semester using VA education benefits, please see our "New Students" page for requirements.*
