To join the Umoja Community
- enroll in a minimum of three (3) units each semester
- complete the Umoja Mutual Responsibility Contract
- attend an Umoja Program orientation and end of the academic year event
- meet a minimum of two times a semester with an Umoja counselor
- enroll in Personal Development, Ethnic Studies, Math, and English courses
- attend a minimum of two (2) Umoja activities each semester
- attend cultural events and fieldtrips
As a member of the Umoja Community you will receive

- academic tutoring
- conference attendance
- various academic enrichment workshops
