Hello and welcome to the Access Resource Center (ARC) at Monterey Peninsula College!

The Access Resource Center (ARC) offers academic counseling, specialized instruction and classroom accommodations to students with a verified disability. Based on a student’s academically related functional limitations, supports are provided to promote access to campus programs and activities.

 

ARC continues to serve student both online and on-campus!

For the Fall 2021 semester, we will continue to offer services online in order to meet the needs of online classes and to minimize the potential spread of Covid-19. However, services and classes will also be offered in-person, so you will have the choice of how you would like to meet with us this semester. 

Our office is located in room STS-115, on the ground floor of the Student Services building. Our office hours are: 

 Monday - Thursday:   8:00 am - 4:00 pm
 Friday:   8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Support:

Your ARC counselors and faculty are available to help answer questions and to help you plan for upcoming semesters. If you know your counselor, you can schedule an appointment by emailing your counselor directly.

Technology Needs:

Free/discounted Internet service may be available.  Students without internet service at home may wish to consider signing up for Comcast’s Internet Essentials program which provides affordable internet at home for eligible households. Note: MPC is not affiliated with Comcast and cannot guarantee their service. This information is provided for your information only.

Chromebook lending service is still available at this time, for inquiries please contact ARC counseling or the MPC Library, which loans both Chromebooks and Wi-Fi hotspots based on availability.


Student Health Services:

Students seeking health and wellness support can contact Student Health Services. In addition, Basic Needs Information, Food Pantry and Personal Counseling services remain available to students at this time.

Mask Exemption:

The Access Resource Center serves as the point of contact for all MPC students, whether ARC students or not, who wish to request an exemption from the campus safety requirement of wearing a mask or facial covering to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
