A Course Sequence is the order of progress in which courses in some departments must be taken.
For Math, English, and ESL, you can begin at the lowest course level on the sequence without testing. To register for a class further along in the sequence, you must demonstrate that you have met the skill level required for that class. Students may either assess for placement, show proof of previous testing or coursework for exemption, or challenge through the academic department.
