Get Ready to Hit the Ground Running with MPC Jump Start!
MPC Jump Start is a unique program designed to help first-year students transition to college. As a participant, you’ll have great instructional support, meet other entering first-year students, benefit from advising, and get a head-start with your courses. MPC Jump Start connects you to fellow students and to effective support services that provide a clear path and lead to successful completion of your academic goals.
The program covers common concerns and questions that first-year students have during their transition to college life and builds an understanding of the policies, resources, and support available at MPC. During the Fall semester, MPC Jump Start students are expected to enroll in COUN 50, a math course, and an English Course. There will be Student Success workshops and various enrichment activities throughout the year to attend.
