Priority Registration
Priority registration for continuing students will be based on the number of units completed at Monterey Peninsula College and the in-progress units for the current semester. Units completed at other institutions will not be considered. Priority registration for Student Parents will be provided by MPC by July 1, 2023.
Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)
CARE is a program that provides participants a chance to overcome some obstacles including problems with childcare, transportation, or family difficulties. California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS)
CalWORKS supports students on public assistance to get access to vital services such as work study, job placement, childcare, curriculum development, skills training and more. Click the link in the title for additional details on eligibility and services.
MPC Early Childhood Educational Lab School
Preschool performs a dual purpose for the campus community; high quality child care for students, staff, faculty & community families. They offer financial assistance to qualifying families through the State of California’s Subsidized Program. Click the link in the title for additional details on eligibility and services.
County & Community Resources
CalFresh (SNAP)
CalFresh is a California financial aid program that helps students buy food and eat healthier. It won't affect your financial aid and you don't need your parents' tax return information to apply if you are over the age of 22. Women, Infants & Children
This is a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children. Services include nutrition information, food benefits for healthy foods, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other community resources. California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) and Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC)

Monterey County Child Care
For support in finding care, please submit the Child Care Request Form on the website. You will receive a response within a few days from MAOF. If you would prefer to speak to someone in person, please call the Resource and Referral at (831) 757-0775. Subsidies are available for families who qualify.
