  • Tutors receive training and professional development, so they can make a positive difference in the lives of peers at MPC.

  • Tutors assist in student learning and retention through in person and online sessions, offering both individual and group tutoring formats to help students improve their understanding of course concepts.

  • TASC tutors love the job. It's rewarding to help others and the peer tutor community is a great way to connect with others.

  • Minimum requirements for tutors: be enrolled as a student in good academic standing with MPC; maintain enrollment for a minimum of 6 units; and earn a grade of B or higher in course being tutored and have taken the course at MPC.

  • MPC tutors supporting dual-enrolled students at local high schools shall complete an MPUSD application, which includes clearance from TB.

  • Supplemental Instruction (SI) leaders attend classes with current students and must be available to meet during class hours.
