The Library and Technology Center houses the Library, English & Study Skills Center, and Reading Center.  The Library is on the main floor and third floor.
The library has a wealth of resources including printed books, e-books, media, and online databases. Computers on both floors in the library offer access to the Internet and a range of software.

Library & Research Help

Reference Desk (831.646.4262): During library hours a reference librarian is present to provide information and research help such as finding books and articles, or to answer any questions about library services.  IT staff is also present to assist with computer needs.

Circulation Desk (831.646.3098):  check out and return library materials including reserve items, keys for study rooms, library equipment, and other services.

Research Guides: online guides provide information about a certain topic, subject, or class.  These guides include library materials, images, videos, and websites prepared by the MPC librarians.

Inter-Library Loan (ILL): if the library does not have a book or article you need, the library may be able to get the item from another library for you. This process might take 5-10+ working days.  Textbooks cannot be borrowed from other libraries.  Ask at the reference desk for this service.

Video Tutorials: video tutorials available here are prepared by the librarians and include how to use our online databases, find books, cite sources, locate scholarly or peer-reviewed journals, and more.
Borrowing Privileges
MPC students may borrow library materials with an MPC library card. Library cards can be obtained at the Circulation Desk or you can apply for one online using this form. An MPC Library Card allows you to check out library materials such as books, DVDs, and CDs. You can also access the library’s online databases and e-books from on or off-campus with your Lobo account.
