The MPC Library’s databases are accessible 24 hours a day from on or off-campus. To access them, go to our databases page by clicking on “Databases” from the left navigation menu or under “Quick Links” and select the database you would like to access. When you click on the database you want to access you’ll be prompted for your Lobo Apps username and password to access.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to access the databases through this page, googling the name of the database won’t get you in, as the links from the databases page have authentication information.

1. Fill out the MPC Library Chromebook Agreement 

You’ll need to be logged into your MPC Google account to access the forms: enter your MPC email address when prompted for your Google Account OR log into Lobo Apps and click on one of the Google Apps (mail, drive, etc.)

2. Come to the MPC Library circulation desk to check out your Chromebook

You need a current student ID or an MPC Library Card to check out library materials.

If there is an available study room you can check the room key out from the MPC Library circulation desk.

You can reserve a study room up to one week ahead of time. Reservations can be made at the circulation desk or by using the “LIBRARY STUDY ROOMS” app in Lobo Apps or using the “Reserve a Study Room” link on the library homepage.

You need a current student ID or an MPC Library Card to check out or reserve a study room.

1. Using the Textbook & Course Reserve drop-down, search OneSearch to verify that the library has your textbook. You can search by your instructor, course, or textbook title. 

2. Go to the MPC Library circulation desk and ask for the textbook by instructor, course, or title. 

You need a current student ID or an MPC Library Card to check out library materials. Checkout lengths can vary from two hours to a full semester for textbooks & other reserves.

There is a librarian to help you find resources the entire time the library is open at the reference desk (big desk in the middle of the main floor of the library). Research help is also available online on our library help page, the MPC Library also maintains many Research Guides and Video Tutorials on different topics to get you started.

MPC students log on to the library computers using their Lobo Account username and password, the same username and password you use to access Lobo Apps.

MPC uses WEPA to provide student printing services. Use the “Student Printing/WEPA” app in Lobo Apps to add money to your account or upload documents you want to print. You can also print from any of the MPC Library computers using the normal print function.

To release a print job:

1. Go to one of the print stations on campus. 

2. Login to the print station using one of these methods: 

a. Use the WEPA App and tap your phone on the NFC pad

b. Swipe  a tagged card

c. Tap on the button “No phone or card? Tap here” login using your Lobo Aps username and password by selecting “Use School Credentials” or a WEPA code

3. Select which print job you want to release, tap “Print” and select how you will be paying (WEPA account balance, swipe prepaid card).

Prepaid $5 print cards are sold at the MPC Library circulation desk.

If you are requesting something in OneSearch, select “Lockers - Monterey” as the pickup location. If you want to pick up a Chromebook, WifiHotspot, or a full-semester textbook, contact the library at 831-646-4095 or library@mpc.edu to arrange for the item to be placed in the locker for pickup.

You will receive an email when your item is ready for pickup with a six digit code that will allow you to retrieve the item.  Items not picked up within four days will be removed from the locker and returned.
