Ardent Culinaire
Ardent Culinaire, Monterey Peninsula College's food service provider offers a variety of grab and go meals through a fresh food vending machine located in MA-201. A microwave is also located on site to warm up personally prepared meals or food provided by Ardent Culinaire.

Lobo Market Marina
The Lobo Market Marina, offered through MPC's Basic Needs Center, provides a food pantry services to MPC students on site at the Marina Education Center. Stop by the Engagement Center, MA-201, to pick up free food items. Currently registered students can select from snack, meal kit, fresh and dry pantry items, and/or toiletries.

Mamava Pod
As an educational institution, offering a private, clean & comfortable space where parents can express milk, meets the state law, offers our children optimum health and provides the campus’ parents support and encouragement.
The Mamava Pod, a private lactation pod, is available for student and public use in Marina Education Center's Lobo Lounge (MA-201). The pod is available on a first come, first serve basis. If the pod is unavailable you can sign up for a vacancy alert on the Mamava Pod application to be notified when the pod becomes available. Feel free to also check in with a Marina Education Center staff member for assistance with finding an alternate private room if the pod is unavailable and/or in case of technical difficulties with the pod.
We hope you enjoy the use of our lactation space, but remember, you have the LEGAL RIGHT to express milk anywhere on campus as you see fit.*
To Use the Mamava Pod
1. Download the Mamava app (on the App Store/Google Play)
2. Turn on your Bluetooth
3. Open the app and select a location near you
4. Find the Monterey Peninsula College Marina Education Center Mamava Pod location
5. Get close, unlock the Mamava pod with one tap (Bluetooth technology)
6. Mamava's smart lock ensures pods are secured for expressing milk
7. Set the space for a relaxing experience (use the app to dim the lights, adjust airflow, and listen to sounds)
*Right to Breastfeed in Public (1997) – Assembly Bill 157 Civil Code Section 43.3. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a mother may breastfeed her child in any location, public or private, except the private home or residence of another, where the mother and the child are otherwise authorized to be present.)
Lactation Accommodation (2002) – Assembly Bill 1025, Labor Code Chapter 3.8 Sections 1030-1034. Every employer, including the state and any political subdivision, shall provide a reasonable amount of break time to accommodate an employee desiring to express breast milk for the employee’s infant child each time the employee has need to express milk. The break time shall, if possible, run concurrently with any break time already provided to the employee. Break time for an employee that does not run concurrently with the rest time authorized for the employee by the applicable wage order of the Industrial Welfare Commission shall be unpaid.
