Emphasis is placed on America’s political systems, its political institutions, the principles and processes that give rise to them, and their impact on African-Americans as a racial and ethnic minority in the context of American political democracy. Emphasis is placed on America’s political systems, its political institutions, the principles and processes that give rise to them, and their impact on Latinos as an ethnic minority in the context of American political democracy.
