Kelly Stack, a hearing child of Deaf adults (CODA), has worked as an interpreter and teacher for many years. Her Ph.D. in linguistics from UCLA focused on the acquisition of ASL. She creates a safe classroom atmosphere for students to learn, using games and interactive exercises.
American Sign Language
At Monterey Peninsula College, we offer classes in American Sign Language using authentic materials, taught by expert signers, with an emphasis on communication to prepare you to take your first steps toward membership in the local Deaf community.
