The RWC offers free face-to-face support at the Humanities building room 107.

Come by Monday–Saturday to meet with us in person.

Monday – Thursday 8 am – 6 pm, Friday 8 am – 2 pm, Saturday 10 am – 2 pm

Online Options

The RWC is offering two types of online support: synchronous ("real-time") tutoring and asynchronous ("paper drop-off") feedback. Please click the appointment button to go to the sign-in page.

We encourage you to add the RWC Canvas Shell to your Canvas Dashboard, and to register for English 400 (a free, no-credit course) so you can access all the RWC's resources!

Why we are here:

Our purpose is to empower MPC students through fostering a welcoming, safe and equitable environment where they can excel in the communication skills needed to be confident, successful lifelong learners and professionals.

What we provide :

  • Free in-person writing, research, ESL conversation practice, and computer assistance (ENGL 400)
  • Self-paced session to improve your reading, writing, vocabulary, or study skills (ENGL 400)
  • State-of-the-art technology: scanners, Microsoft Office suite, and a WEPA color printer for your academic projects; Windows-based PCs available for student use; and assistive software from Kurzweil Educational Systems to help with reading, writing, and study skills
  • Writing & Study Skills Sessions, Directed Learning Activities (DLAs), and Small Group Skill Boosters addressing student needs (e.g., textbook-reading skills)

How to access our tutoring services:

  • The RWC offers appointments for face-to-face and online tutorial sessions with our faculty and staff. Accudemia is the appointment-based scheduling system.
  • To receive free tutoring services, students must register for ENGL 400 (free for MPC students). To register, come to the RWC in Humanities room 107 or call for an add code.
  • We welcome drop-in visits at the center.
