This Assessment is for students that wish to take English and Math classes, or classes that have English and/or Math prerequisites.

The English Assessment (CTEP) is divided into two parts - a reading comprehension and a written essay.  A topic will be provided for the essay.  Placement into reading and writing classes will be based on your assessment results.

For Math classes, you will need to choose between 4 math assessments, each designed for placement into different levels of math. (Please see "Which Math Assessment" webpage for more details on selecting the right math assessment).  You will need to know which numbered assessment you will be taking at check-in on the day of your scheduled assessment.

Important details regarding the English & Math Assessment:

• Allow 3 hours total for the English & Math Assessment
• 2 hour TIMED English Assessment and 1 hour TIMED Math Assessment
• You must arrive at the Check-in Time
• No late admittance
• Children are not allowed in the testing area and may not be left unattended on campus
• You must have your Picture ID & MPC Student ID# in order to be admitted to the Assessment
• If you are late, forget to bring a picture ID, MPC Student ID# or do not know which math assessment you will be taking you will be asked to reschedule your Assessment for another day
