The MPC Theatre Department presents a production of Lysistrata, a modern take on the classic Greek "sex" comedy where the women of two countries work together to withhold sexual relations from the men in order to achieve peace. This unique retelling takes place in modern day San Francisco against a backdrop of Climate Change. When the legislature is not making any effort to enact new laws, Lysistrata bands together groups of activists to fight the climate change deniers and save Mother Earth. Told in a quasi-jukebox musical" style, this adaptation is sure to have you groovin' in your seats. April 13-16, 20-23, and 27-30, 2023. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
