The Magic of Math or the Math of Magic!

Join us on May 13th on campus (LF103 Watch Party) or online (Zoom) for an engaging and inspiring presentation by Dr. Ignacio Barradas.

Dr. Barradas studied mathematics at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), where he also completed his master's degree in mathematics. He obtained his doctorate in biology and mathematics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany.

Dr. Barradas is a Senior Researcher and the Dean of Graduate Studies at CIMAT (Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas), located in Guanajuato, México. His research interests have always been in the area between biology and mathematics, with his current interest in ecoepidemiology, infectious diseases and their control. His hobbies include reading about any subject and doing magic, mainly using mathematics.
