It's a Mexican cultural reference to the sustenance we get from comiendo tacos on the street, in our neighborhoods, at taco stands and taquerias that help us get through our daily lives. Join the authors Suzanne García-Mateus, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education and Leadership and the Director of the Monterey Institute for English Learners (M.I.E.L.) at CSU Monterey Bay, and Mando Rayo, Co-founder and Producer at IDENTITY, as well as illustrator Martha Samaniego Calderon as they read from the book and talk about how the project came about.This event is sponsored by CSUMB Transfer Student Success Center.
