Given the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on individuals, communities, and society, health professionals, particularly those trained in public health and/or health policy, are and will be highly sought after in the labor market. Thus, the value of a four-year degree in the health sciences is at a premium. The purpose of this session is to articulate opportunities with the broader health professions, describe the emphasis on applied learning, professional development, and personalized guidance found in the Department of Health Sciences at California State University, East Bay, and encourage students whose values align with health promotion and disease prevention to apply to our institution to pursue their career goals.
