The state of California has revised the benchmarks for each county to meet prior to reopening local industries and agencies. The state calls this plan the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. This blueprint identifies four different levels (widespread: purple, substantial: red, moderate: orange, minimal: yellow) based on community spread of COVID-19. Currently, Monterey County is classified as a widespread (purple) county.
As the Spring 2021 Semester is around the corner, planning for spring instruction and student support services is a high priority. The sooner we determine our plan for spring, the more time our college and students will have to prepare.
We have scheduled the below campus-wide opportunities to review the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy and how it applies to MPC. Additionally, we will use these opportunities for the campus to have a conversation regarding the development of spring planning.
