  • Did you complete at least five years of education, including high school, in schools where allsubjects were taught in English?
  • Do you usually speak English with your friends and/or co-workers?

If you answered “YES” to two or morequestions, take the English Assessment.
If you answered “NO” to two or more questions, take the ENSL Assessment.

Please Note:If you choose to register in the beginning level of classes for English or ENSL, you are no longer eligible to assess for English or ENSL classes and you must complete all classes within the English or ENSL sequence.

Please note: if you have difficulty understanding the information on this page or difficulty communicating your basic needs in English, you may take the lowest level ENSL course (ENSL 312/412 and ENSL 313/413) without taking the ENSL Placement Test.
