In the 2018 elections more first time candidates, women, people of color, LGBTQ, and young people were elected to national offices. This trend exists in Monterey County as well. Join us on Wednesday, May 15th from 6pm-7:30 pm at MPC in the Sam Karas Room in the Library & Technology Center for an engaging and educational panel discussion as we hear from 5 recently elected local government officials who represent these trends. Jon Wizard (Seaside City Councilperson), Yuri Anderson (MPC Trustee), Natalia Molina (MPC Trustee), Anthony Rocha (Salinas Unified High School District School Board Member), and Tyller Williamson (Monterey City Councilperson) will be in attendance to provide their insights and experiences. Hosted by MPC faculty members Lauren Blanchard and David Serena, this event guaranteed to be an informative and enlightening experience for all who attend.
Parking at MPC is $3, admission to the event is free!
