ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST
Assessments for Summer 2019 will begin in March.
Test placement results are REQUIRED for placement into classes on the ENGLISH SEQUENCE
above English 301 and for courses with certain English prerequisites.
Students may enroll in English 301 without testing.
Re-assessment allowed AFTER six months, if student has no grade of record in any English Sequence class.

NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED. ARRIVE 30 MINUTES BEFORE TEST.
Plan accordingly!
The English Placement Test is a 45 minute timed essay.
Allow 1 hour for the English Placement Test

Present ANY valid Photo ID
Know your MPC Student ID Number
To choose between English or ENSL, please answer the following questions:
- Is English the first language you learned as a child?
- Did you complete at least five years of education, including high school, in schools where all your subjects were taught in English?
- Do you usually speak English with your friends and/or co-workers?
If you answered “YES” to two or morequestions,take the English Assessment.
