Monterey Peninsula College was a hub for activism in the 1960s including rights speakers Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., James Baldwin and Dick Gregory. Learn about the Civil Rights leaders who spoke at MPC and the student activists who changed the campus. MPC Special Collections Archivist Wendy Good will present the history of MPC found in the library's collection. After the presentation, Elroy Gardenhire and Kendra Cabrera will give a tour of the African American history exhibits in the library.
