Are you prepared for an emergency on campus?

Monterey Peninsula College wants to make sure you are safe on campus and in order to do that we need to prepare and conduct exercises on campus. We will be conducting an

Emergency Drill on Friday October 26, 2018, from Noon to 2PM.

During the drill, the entire campus will be asked to LOCKDOWN for a few minutes until given the “All Clear” to resume normal activities. MPC Security will be coordinating the drill, Monterey Police and Fire Department will be participating on campus, volunteers will be acting as victims.

Preparing for a Lockdown


Stay where you are!

  • Do not go outdoors
  • Clock and lock doors, barricade them if possible
  • Silence your phones!
  • Do not open the doors for ANYONE!
  • If you are not inside a building, prepare to RUN, HIDE, FIGHT
  • Remain where you are until you are given an official "ALL CLEAR"
