Assessments for Fall 2018 placement have began.
As a reminder, test placement results are REQUIRED for certain classes.
Plan accordingly!
Assessment testing is required for placement in the ENGLISH SEQUENCE above English 321/322.
Students may enroll in English 321/322 without testing.
The English Assessment (or English Placement Test) has two parts:
- 30 Minute Timed Reading Comprehension Multiple Choice Test
- 45 Minute Timed Written Essay
Allow TWO HOURS to complete test.
Placement into classes on the ENGLISH SEQUENCE will be based on your assessment results.
Re-assessment allowed AFTER six months, if student has no grade of record in any English Sequence class.
To choose between English or ENSL, please answer the following questions:
- Is English the first language you learned as a child?
- Did you complete at least five years of education, including high school, in schools where all your subjects were taught in English?
- Do you usually speak English with your friends and/or co-workers?
If you answered “YES” to two or morequestions,take the English Assessment.
