Assessment & Placement, Orientation, and have an ED Plan.

Our guided placement questionnaires for English, English as a Second Language, and math courses are all available online. If you do not have access to a computer, or if you prefer, you can make an appointment to complete the guided placement tools with our office.

This Assessment is for students that wish to take an English class at MPC, or a class that has English as a prerequisite. The English Assessment (or English Placement Test) has one part:

45 Minute Timed Written Essay

NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED: YOU SHOULD ARRIVE 30 MIN BEFORE THE TEST BEGINS

This test will be held in the Testing Center (STS-119)

Important details regarding the English Assessment:

Allow two hours to take the test
No late seating
Space is limited. First come-first served.
Present ANY valid Photo ID
Know your MPC Student ID Number
Children are not allowed in the testing area and may not be left unattended on campus
One day parking permit is $3.00
