Loved by theatergoers for 50 years, and the longest running musical in history, The Fantasticks is the musical story of the romance of Matt and Luisa, a young couple who find their relationship tested by their meddling parents and a bandit narrator known as El Gallo. It’s boy meets girl, boy
loses girl, and boy gets girl back. That’s the charm of The Fantasticks. Its poetic innocence is coupled with a now-classic score by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, that includes “Try to Remember” and “Soon it’s Gonna Rain.”
Performances run from July 26 through August 12, with showtimes Thursday - Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm. Performed live on Monterey Peninsula College's Morgan Stock Stage.
