Join our monthly Toolbox Talks. This month's talk on Human Trafficking is hosted by the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center. Come learn about human trafficking in the Monterey community and what we can do together to end it. This informative session will cover what human trafficking is, what it looks like in our area, and how our region is responding.
Deborah Pembrook is Outreach Advocate for the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center, where she works directly with survivors of human trafficking and conducts community outreach. Deborah chairs the Coalition to End Human Trafficking in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties, a regional collaboration of government agencies, nonprofit direct service organizations and businesses working to end all forms of human trafficking and modern slavery.
The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center (MCRCC) is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to advocate for all victims and survivors of sexual assault and child sexual abuse, to prevent sexual violence in our community through education, and to provide ongoing support and healing to survivors of sexual assault.
