As a reminder, PRIORITY Registration is granted to students who complete
Assessment & Placement, Orientation, and have an ED Plan.  

Plan accordingly!

Our guided placement questionnaires for English, English as a Second Language, and math courses are all available online.  If you do not have access to a computer, or if you prefer, you can make an appointment to complete the guided placement tools with our office.

English Assessment @ Lecture Forum (LF 102)

Please note that this assessment will be held at 1:00 pm in Lecture Forum Room 102.  Please arrive 30 minutes before the test.

Required for placement in the ENGLISH SEQUENCE above English 321/322. Note: Students may enroll in English 321/322 without testing.

The English Assessment (or English Placement Test) has two parts:

  • 30 Minute Timed Reading Comprehension Multiple Choice Test

  • 45 Minute Timed Written Essay

 NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED: ARRIVE 30 MIN BEFORE TEST

  • Allow 2 hrs for English test

  • No Late Seating; First Come-First Serve

  • One-Day Parking Permit $2

  • Present ANY valid Photo ID

  • Know your MPC Student ID Number
