Drugs, Violence and Law Enforcement in Monterey
Monterey Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team
Are you concerned about drugs and violence on the Monterey peninsula? Do you want to learn more about how law enforcement is working to make our community a safer place? Are you planning a career in law enforcement yourself?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should come to hear our guest speaker at 4 PM on Thursday, Sept. 18, in the MPC lecture forum - LF 102, on our Monterey campus. There, you will learn about the Monterey Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team (PRVNT), and its efforts to make Monterey a safer place to live.
The primary purpose of PRVNT is the enforcement of federal, state, and local controlled substance laws, and to prevent and control violent crime on the Monterey Peninsula. Come and hear a first-hand account of its work from a law enforcement professional!
