day for first-time college students will provide information on our Career & Academic
Pathways, application and registration information, an inside look at MPC's campus
life and athletics, details on our First Year Experience program, and drop-in appointments
for counseling throughout the day.

At MPC, your success is our priority. Whether you need academic support, personal
guidance, or help navigating college life, our student support services are here for
you. Explore resources designed to empower you every step of the way.
The Access Resource Center (ARC) offers academic counseling, specialized instruction
and classroom accommodations to students with a verified disability. Based on a student’s
academically related functional limitations, supports are provided to promote access
to campus programs and activities.
The Associated Students of Monterey Peninsula College (ASMPC) are responsible for
the coordination and support of student activities and organizations, while increasing
the cooperation between students, faculty, and the community. ASMPC also provides
a forum for the expression of student opinion and develops student initiative and
responsibility while ensuring equal rights for all students of MPC.
MPC offers intercollegiate athletic teams for men and women in 14 sports. MPC
is a member of the California Community College Athletic Association and competes
in the Coast Conference and the Northern California Football Conference. Each year
approximately 225 student athletes participate in the athletic program.
Extended Opportunity Programs & Services (EOPS) is a state funded program designed
to assist low-income and educationally disadvantaged students gain access to and successfully
complete a program of higher education. Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education
(CARE) is a program designed to help single parents succeed in college.
MPC has a commitment to equity and inclusion for students, faculty and staff members
who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, and asexual,
plus any number of other gender identities (including non-binary gender identities,
omnigender identities, and non-gender identities), alternative sexes and/or alternative
sexual identities that are not included in these few letters (LGBTQIA+).
The Lobo Market provides a food pantry services to MPC students on site at both the
Monterey and MPC campuses. Currently registered students can select from snack, meal
kit, fresh and dry pantry items, and/or toiletries.
Student Health Services fosters health and well-being delivered in a culturally
competent and compassionate manner. MPC works in collaboration with Community Hospital
of the Monterey Peninsula which provides an on-site Registered Nurse. In addition
our staff includes a Health Specialist, Licensed Therapists, Psych Associates, Social
Work students from Cal State Monterey Bay and a Medical Director - all providing a
safe and confidential environment for our students.
The TRIO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate
and support students from limited income and first-generation college backgrounds.
Umoja is a community of success dedicated to the academic success, personal growth,
and self-actualization of MPC students. MPC's Umoja Learning Community is a program
designed to assist African American and other historically underrepresented students.
Umoja is specifically designed to increase the retention, success, graduation, and
transfer rates of African ancestry students.
MPC is committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment where all students
can thrive—regardless of citizenship or immigration status. Our Undocumented Resource
Center offers free, confidential services to help you succeed in college and beyond.
