3 Ways to Access Orientation

Orientation is a mandatory requirement for priority registration for new students. You must fill out a free application form online and obtain your student ID prior to completing orientation. Questions? Contact the Outreach Coordinator.

In Person

Our face-to-face orientation provides an opportunity to familiarize yourself with campus while receiving an overview of essential information.

Seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do I Have to Attend Orientation?

Orientation is a mandatory requirement for priority registration for new students. A limited number of exemptions apply, and you may request an extension if you need more time to complete the requirement.

You may be exempt from orientation if you:

  • Have already earned an associate or higher degree
  • Are taking courses for personal interest
  • Are a K-12 grade student who is non-matriculating – that is, you are not completing a degree or certificate program
  • Are taking courses to maintain a certificate or license
  • Are taking courses for advancement in current job/career (updating job skills)
  • Are concurrently enrolled in another college or university and are receiving matriculation services at that institution

If you meet one or more of these exemption criteria, and would like to be exempt from the Orientation requirement, please submit an Orientation Exemption Form to outreach@mpc.edu.

If you don’t have the means or time to complete the Orientation requirement before starting classes, you can waive it for up to eight (8) weeks.

To request an extension, please submit an Orientation Waiver Form to outreach@mpc.edu.
