Yezenia Chavarria

I have the honor of being your ASMPC President this year. I am a dance major, and I strive to help bring unity to our campus. The best way we can run as a campus is if we work together, so I am here to help create that connection with all of us. I'm very open-minded and love meeting new people, so if you ever need anything, please feel free to come say hi. I am here for every single one of you and your ideas, no matter how big or small. I'm here for you :)

Vice President

Hey everyone, my name's Olivia, and I am the Vice President for ASMPC. I'm a second-year computer science student, and I'm involved in the Math Club, ECS Club, and the MPC Orchestra. I plan to bring more opportunities to students, as well as foster a more connected student community. 

Secretary

Hi all! My name's Maya and I'm your Secretary for the year. I'm currently majoring in Kinesiology/Nutritional Science, and hoping to transfer to a 4 year school the year after next! I love coaching volleyball and working with kids and hope that I'm able to continue making a difference in these young athletes lives. Reach out for anything!

Treasurer

Hi! I’m Maria, the ASMPC Treasurer, a second-year Business Administration major planning to be an accountant. My goal is to be able to be transparent and provide information on how the council uses our funds to organize and create events. 

Student Trustee

My name is Ja’Leezia Love and I am your Student Trustee at MPC. I am majoring in Communications with an interest in Policy. I enjoy reading, the beach, and binge watching Netflix. I’m excited to be your representative on the Governing Board.

Chief Justice

My position is the Chief Justice, but the job is the same as all other ASMPC Members. We are here to serve the students who contribute their hard-earned money, so that we may operate our student government on behalf of, for the benefit of, and of the students.

Associate Justice

Hi, my name is Carla Lara. My position at ASMPC is Associate Justice. I am currently in my second year of kinesiology. Once I get my bachelors in kinesiology I hope to get into an occupational therapy program hopefully working with kids. I am an avid reader and a big foodie.

SSCCC Representative

Hello, I am your SSCCC, and I’m majoring in Sociology. I come from a Mexican background and look forward to amplifying not just Latine voices, but all voices here on campus as well. I love working with my MPC community and look forward to supporting our student body.

Director of Activities

Greetings, I’m Dario DiMaggio, Director of Activities at ASMPC. I was ASB president at PGHS in 2024, and I am now excited to grow my leadership skills as I transfer into Aviation in the Marine Corps. Hoping to make all students have fun in all upcoming activities!

Hello everyone, I am the Director of the Organizations within the Associated Students of Monterey Peninsula College. I am a second-year Computer Science major and involved within the various clubs, specifically STEM, such as Math and ECS.

Hello, I am your ASMPC director of the STEM Council. I host bi-weekly meetings to improve the overall STEM student experience. As STEM students, we can be the busiest on campus, so I hope to bring some representation between our exams and study sessions. If you’re a STEM student with ideas, get involved on campus, and we’ll cross paths.

Hey, all, my name is Jun-Yong, as Senator of Creative Arts in ASMPC. I am majoring in Studio Arts, and with my knowledge, I can create more opportunities for students to express themselves across the campus. I am here for everyone, regardless of their background, and I enjoy supporting anyone whom I can.

Hello, I’m Kiana Kim, a ASMPC Senator-At-Large here on campus! I’m a second year student majoring in business administration. I am excited to collaborate with fellow students to make campus a more welcoming and fun place!

Hi, I’m Scarlett, and I am a Senator-At-Large for ASMPC. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Political Science at MPC in hopes of transferring to a four-year university after my second year. I love history and politics, and I spend a lot of time watching movies in my free time.

As a Classics major studying Latin and Ancient Greek, an idea sparked in my mind to propose the establishment of a study abroad program at MPC - Lobos Abroad. Experiences such as these would help students become more employable developing soft skills that will be ever more important in our AI-driven world. This can help them not only in preparation for future careers but also to better serve our community.

Student Activities Coordinator / ASMPC Advisor

My name is Julie Osborne, since 2008 I have been the Student Activities Coordinator at MPC. I have an A.S degree in Business from MPC, a B.A. degree in Psychology from Sac State, and a M.A degree in Counseling from Palo Alto University. I serve as the advisor to ASMPC and its many sub-councils.  I also plan and coordinate co-curricular events and programs that enhance the student experience. I enjoy working with students to help them to develop their leadership and event management skills while also working to increase civic engagement on campus.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking, cooking and reading. My goal is to create a positive, fun and engaging atmosphere on campus where all students feel welcome!
