2. Request Academic Records
MPC needs official transcripts verifying previous college coursework, and/or official AP and/or CLEP test scores, if you plan to apply them:
- towards certificate or degree requirements
- to satisfy athletic eligibility
It is your responsibility to request transcripts from the schools you have attended and ask that they be sent directly to MPC. Records may be sent:
- Via email to transcripts@mpc.edu directly from your prior academic institutions (not forwarded)
- In person, sealed and unopened, to the Admissions & Records office on the Monterey campus
- By mail to:
Monterey Peninsula College
Admissions & Records

To align your MPC classes with prior coursework, meet with counselors in the Academic Advising department.
Counselors may accept unofficial records for:
- Determining placement in Math, English, or English as a Second Language classes
- Verifying completion of a corequisite or prerequisite course
- For general academic or career counseling and advisement
