Two former military buildings have been renovated to include six classrooms, a multipurpose room, a large physical fitness and agility training space, and men’s and women’s locker room and shower facilities.
An Emergency Responder Training Hub
The PSTC offers basic training academies for police, fire, and medical responders,
as well as a variety of re-certification training courses for professional public
safety personnel.
MPC’s intensive program fully prepares recruits for jobs in the fire service.
MPC’s Police Academy is provided in partnership with the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium (“The Academy”) and is certified by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and
Training (POST).
MPC’s EMT 1: Basic Training program is designed to meet the State of California requirements
for certification of EMT-1 (Ambulance) personnel.
