Now that you have been admitted to the International Student Program, you must apply separately to enroll using the Application for New Students

After submitting the free online application, you’ll receive a welcome email that provides a unique 9-digit student ID number and a CCC-ID number.

Guided placement recommendations are available immediately upon completing the online questionnaires.

To make an appointment, log in to the Online ISP Counseling Portal using your MPC ID number.

You may schedule your appointment after orientation, but availability may be limited. If you’re in the area earlier, you’re encouraged to make an appointment before orientation.  Appointments are also available by phone.

You must attend orientation before starting classes.  Please plan to arrive in Monterey, CA prior to the orientation date. RSVP for the orientation session when you submit your ISP Admissions Acceptance form.

Once you arrive at MPC, submit your completed I-94 form.

To complete the form, visit https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94. Print the confirmation page and bring it with you to give to ISP staff.

Housing Information

Monterey Peninsula College does not provide on-campus housing (dormitories) and does not provide or secure off-campus housing or rentals. We encourage international students to find a place to stay before their arrival in the U.S.

Tips

  • Like many coastal tourist towns, Monterey is a popular place to live, and rent is expensive. Many students try to find roommates to share costs.
  • Many property owners or landlords require proof of established credit and/or references. One way to establish credit is to open a checking account at a U.S. bank.
  • Never offer or send money in advance until you have visited the apartment or house and are ready to move in.
