Start Your Journey with Confidence
Our summer boot camp introduces incoming first-year students to college, fosters relationships with faculty, staff, and peers, and challenges students to take on leadership roles. One of its primary goals is to address barriers to student success in Math and English, strengthening academic proficiency and cultivating a supportive community to enhance collegiate confidence. Upon completion, participants will receive a $400 voucher, a backpack, and other academic supplies to support academic success.
Jump Start combines classroom instruction with a counseling component to provide culturally relevant workshops, connection with peers, and early access to MPC’s diverse courses. Participants enroll in COUN 50, Math, and English in the Fall, alongside Student Success workshops and enrichment activities throughout the academic year.
