Elementary school teachers are among the 25 occupations with the most job openings
in California. Annually, the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District reports up
to 100 openings for classroom teachers. Additionally, program graduates can work in
youth organizations, offer school counseling, develop curricula for online learning,
and develop education policy.

Teacher Pathway Program
Follow a connected pathway from MPC to a bachelor’s degree and teaching credential
at CSU Monterey Bay. With an accelerated course schedule, the journey from MPC to
a teaching role can take as few as four years.
STEM students with an interest in becoming teachers can access specialized academic
and professional resources. Participate in teaching and research opportunities in
