MPC has resources to support your educational journey at any stage of life. Whether you’re already working or just graduated high school, whether you want to enroll full-time or take a short weekend class, MPC can help you create an educational plan to achieve your goals.
Many programs are available related to workforce training in fields ranging from tourism and hospitality to auto repair to nursing. If you want to obtain your bachelor’s degree, explore MPC programs designed for four-year college transfer to align coursework with requirements.
The MPC Academic Advising department offers counseling to assist with career exploration and planning and help create an education plan that meets your needs.
Local Education Partnership
MPC collaborates with other local educational institutions to deliver adult education programs that fill the community’s top needs. They include:
- Elementary and secondary basic skills, including classes required for a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.
- Classes and courses for immigrants eligible for education services in citizenship and English as a Second
- Language and workforce preparation classes in basic skills
- Education programs for adults with disabilities
- Short-term career technical education programs with high employment potential
- Programs for apprentices

Adult Educational Regional Planning
The Monterey Peninsula Adult Education Consortium (MPAEC) was formed in 2013 following state approval of regional planning grants for adult education. During the grant period, the consortium developed a regional strategic plan that continues to guide offerings today.
