Tuition-Free Learning for Adult Learners

Did you know that MPC offers noncredit courses tuition-free that are the perfect solution for most adult learners? Noncredit classes offer flexible, affordable opportunities to learn new skills, explore personal interests, and grow professionally. They also serve as an accessible starting point for anyone considering college, helping learners build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and discover the right educational path forward.

Who is Eligible for Noncredit Classes?

We welcome students from a variety of backgrounds. However, there are a few eligibility requirements which must be met to enroll in noncredit courses.

  • Age or Education Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old or have completed high school (or equivalent).
  • Residency Requirement: Noncredit students must currently live in the state of California. Proof of residency may be required during the application process.
  • F-1 Visa Students: International students holding an F-1 visa are eligible to enroll in noncredit courses only if they are also enrolled in at least 12 units of credit coursework at their home institution. Be sure to consult your academic counselor to confirm eligibility and any additional steps needed.
  • B-1/B-2 Visa Holders: Unfortunately, students holding B-1/B-2 (tourist) visas are not eligible to enroll, as these visas do not permit academic study in the U.S.

We encourage all prospective students to reach out with any questions and to explore support services available to help navigate the enrollment process.
