Scheherazade accepts submissions of original poetry, prose, photography and graphic art year-around. The magazine can only accept submissions from MPC students, but all students of the college are welcome to send work for consideration.

In order to submit your work please complete the form below and attach your work where indicated. Poetry and prose must be submitted in MS Word (.doc or .docx) or Rich Text (.rtf) formats. Photography and Graphic Art submissions must be submitted as jpeg files (.jpg or .jpeg) formats. Graphic files should be submitted as high resolution (color or black & white are acceptable).

File names must include:

Your Name
Title of the work
Genre (Short Fiction, Poetry, Memoir, Novel Excerpt, Nonfiction Book Excerpt, Photography or Graphic Art)

Example: George Orwell, 1984, Novel Excerpt

Please do not include your name or page numbers on the work you submit. Your name should only appear in the file name, as described above.

Students may submit: up to 5 poems; up to 5 photos; up to 5 works of graphic art; and/or up to 4 works of prose (short fiction, memoir, or novel excerpt). Prose works cannot exceed 20 typed, double spaced pages each. Photos and graphic art must be high resolution files and can be in color or black & white. (Text documents must be uploaded as MS Word (.docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) files, and images as jpg/jpeg files. Other formats cannot be accepted).
