Official and Unofficial Transcript Information

An official transcript is a certified copy of an academic record created by the school. It is printed on unique, security-marked paper and sealed in the school’s envelope. In electronic form, the transcript is protected by data encryption. An official transcript is deemed to be accurate and unaltered by the student. An unofficial transcript does not grant the same assurance, since it does not come directly from the school and therefore has a chance of being altered. It is best to check with the recipient to see what type of transcript will be accepted.

Please follow the guidelines below, depending on your years of attendance for instructions on how to access your transcripts.

fall 1995 to present

Ordering Official Transcripts
Transcripts can be ordered online! Simply log in to WebReg and click on “Official Transcript Ordering”. You will be redirected to the National Student Clearinghouse to order your transcript.

Accessing Unofficial Transcripts
You can access your unofficial transcript by logging in to WebReg. On the red column on the left, select “View Grades”. Then select “All Semesters”. This will be your unofficial transcript. All class information listed there will match what appears on your official transcript.

prior to 1995

Ordering Official Transcripts
You do not have access to WebReg. Therefore, you can go directly to the National Student Clearinghouse, www.nationalstudentclearinghouse.org, to order your transcript. You do not need to provide a Student ID Number.

Accessing Unofficial Transcripts
Unfortunately, you do not have access to unofficial transcripts. Student ID Numbers and WebReg were not available until Fall 1995. Older records must manually be accessed by staff and can only be handled and processed as official transcripts.

prior and after 1995

Ordering Official Transcripts
Transcripts can be ordered online! Simply log in to WebReg and click on “Official Transcript Ordering”. You will be redirected to the National Student Clearinghouse to order your transcript.

Accessing Unofficial Transcripts
In WebReg, you can only view the portion of your unofficial transcript from Fall 1995 and onward. The older record cannot be viewed online and must be manually accessed by a staff member. Therefore, a complete unofficial transcript is unavailable to you. You would need to order an official transcript.

Official Transcript Fees

The cost per transcript depends on how quickly you would like your transcript to be sent out. There are two options for processing transcript requests: rush and routine. Rush requests will be processed within one business day; the cost is $15 per transcript. Routine requests will be processed within ten business days; the cost is $5 per transcript. Transcripts are sent out as standard mail. Every student is entitled to two free transcripts in their lifetime. These free transcripts can only be redeemed by filling out the Transcript Request Form and turning it in to the Admissions & Records Office. Rush processing is not available for free transcripts.
