Program Overview

Businesses rely on leaders with the expertise, organization, and interpersonal skills to drive success. The Leadership certificate program helps students hone critical skills with coursework in business issues and ethics, communication, leadership, and managing diversity and inclusion.  Students who seek a broader degree can opt for the leadership emphasis within the Business Administration AS degree, while those planning college transfer can enroll in the Business Administration AS-T degree.

Job Outlook

People who can juggle the demands of planning, supervising others’ work, coordinating team efforts, mentoring junior staff, analyzing financial performance, and setting company direction are in high demand in every sector. Graduates can launch their careers as front-line supervisors in companies large and small, non-profit organizations, or government, or they can apply leadership skills within their existing professions. They can also pursue further study in specialized fields or types of management.

Testimonials

Mark Halliday

I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to take and complete almost 70 classes at MPC, using Army tuition assistance and later the Post-911 GI Bill.  I have completed my seventh Associate’s degree. The Veterans Resource Center staff and counselors have all been very helpful in helping me select classes, get VA benefits, and provide positive encouragement.
