Program Overview

Do you have a business idea you want to start or a business you want to grow?  The Entrepreneurship program gives students the core skills required to launch a new venture or to successfully lead an existing small business while earning a Business Administration AS degree. Coursework covers business planning, marketing, and sales, as well as the entrepreneurial mindset. The Entrepreneurship/Small Business certificate provides a shorter path for students who are interested in focused study to add entrepreneurial abilities to their current skillset outside of a full degree program.

Job Outlook

Program graduates are poised to launch their own ventures. Transport and logistics, healthcare, technology, and sustainability are cutting-edge areas for startups while the most popular categories for small businesses are retail, construction and real estate, and business services. Graduates are also well positioned to succeed in helping lead existing small businesses to success.

Testimonials

Timothy Han

I got so much love and support from many, many people at MPC: the memorable teachers; the counselors at the EOPS, TRIO, and counselors’ office who talked me out of quitting so many times; the admissions and financial aid office staff. Everyone has given me the positivity and nurturing I needed to believe in myself.
