Program Overview

The Associate in Arts of Kinesiology for Transfer (AA-T in Kinesiology) degree program provides students an introduction to human movement and function. In this program, the successful student will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for upper division study towards a baccalaureate degree in kinesiology or a related major, including physical education/kinesiology, health science, and exercise physiology.

Job Outlook

Career opportunities for kinesiology graduates are numerous and expanding as interest increases in health, fitness, and better living; love of sport continues unabated.  It comes down to this: according to the CDC, only 53.3% of Americans get enough aerobic exercise and only 23.2% meet guidelines for aerobic and muscle strengthening activity.  We need to do better – and you can make a career out of helping solve the problem. Graduates from this program can apply their knowledge in a wide array of fields, pursuing further study and jobs in physical therapy, athletic training, coaching, and medicine.

Testimonials

Vincent Cook

The MPC Kinesiology program has really helped me get a better understanding of what the major really is and has made me even more interested in wanting to pursue that major. A big shoutout to Professor Erin O’Hare for always being there for their students and always giving clear instructions and assignments.

Harkaran Sidhu

The kinesiology program has provided numerous courses that I have took -- for example, anatomy -- and it furthered my knowledge on the human body and the functions that are linked within it. It is preparing me for my future profession of personal training, as kinesiology focuses on human activity and it’s used amount many facilities.
