Lobos Track & Field Teams Shine at Coast Conference

4x100-winning-shotLast week MPC Men and Women's Track & Field teams participated in the Coast Conference meets held at Hartnell and MPC.  The women's relay teams truly excelled this past weekend. The ladies captured a championship in both 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays setting personal best times in both races.

Lobos also had a championship in the women's high jump by Tenisha Hill who jumped 5'1. A number of other female athletes had success capturing silver and bronze medals.

R'leesha Gooden-Fair earned 2nd in the women's 100 meters and 3rd in the 200 meters.

BreAnn Scally took 2nd in the high jump, 3rd in the women's 100 meter hurdles and 3rd in the women's long jump and triple jump.

Daniela Carranza earned 3rd place in the women's shot put with a personal best throw of 33'9.

Along with Tenisha's championship in high jump, she also earned 3rd place in the 400 hurdles and 4th place in the 100 meter hurdles and long jump.

On the men's side, Jacob Cerveantes led the men with 2nd place finishes in the men's javelin and men's 400 meter hurdles.

Jarod Davis was 3rd the men's shot put with a toss of 44'2.

Justin Nobida-Lagrimas took 5th in the long jump while Ryan Beard also took 5th in the 200 meters.
